Rico joined Hearthworks in 2007 as part of the crew that set up the Tipi Village at Glastonbury Festival. That was the first year tipis-to-hire appeared there, and at the time hardly anyone had heard of them.

The Totem Pole

Dr Gareth Phillips had been a regular at the festival for several years, and was known as an enthusiastic wood carver. He approached us with the idea of carving a new Totem Pole for the site.
