Rosa Festival

Rosa Festival will not take place in 2026. After a period of reflection, the organisers have decided to pause for a fallow year, using the time to recharge, regroup and reimagine. The festival returns in 2027, giving the team two years to plan something special and to dig deeper into what Rosa is really about.

A festival rooted in the Peak District

Rosa Festival began in 2020 as a single tent offering an intimate experience of underground electronic music. It has since grown into a multi-faceted celebration, taking in art installations, workshops and a broad range of musical genres. Now a transformative multi-day event, it encourages individual expression and fosters deep connections among those who attend, acting as a catalyst for personal growth, creative expression and community building.

The festival is committed to making a positive impact beyond its grounds, working closely with local communities in the Peak District and supporting local businesses and artisans.

Supporting emerging artists

A central aim is to provide a platform for both established and emerging artists, creating an environment where new ideas can flourish and unexpected collaborations can take root. The organisers believe in the power of shared experiences to break down barriers and create lasting connections.

The Rosa Audio programme is being developed to offer year-round support to emerging electronic music artists, with mentorship, production resources and performance opportunities outside the festival itself. By nurturing talent and fostering creativity, the team hopes to contribute to the future of the music industry.

Staying at the festival

Tipi accommodation will be available on site, ready and waiting when guests arrive, so bags can be dropped inside before heading out to meet friends or rest after the journey.

Check-in is straightforward: on arrival, guests come to the reception point and give the lead name on the booking and the order reference number. They will then be shown to their accommodation. There is no need for everyone in a group to arrive at the same time.

Toilets and drinking water are available throughout the stay. These are provided by the event rather than the accommodation team, who also arrange matters such as the location of the area and parking.

Arrival and departure

A welcome email is sent a few days before the event with arrival details and helpful information, including a site map where the event has provided one, and specific details of how to find the onsite reception team.

Accommodation is ready from the time the event opens until it closes.

What to bring

Guests should remember that they are in the great outdoors, staying in a festival field. A few essentials are worth packing:

• Torch – extra lighting is very helpful when returning to a tent at night.
• Warm clothes – even in summer, the weather can turn cold.
• Sensible footwear – festival fields mean sensible or waterproof footwear is advised.
• Extra blanket – even with bedding included, extra blankets can help on chilly British summer nights.

Furnishings and extras

Hearthworks accommodation at Rosa includes a heavy-duty waterproof groundsheet and carpet flooring, an entrance mat and waste bin, an LED lantern, handmade decorative rugs, and a low rosewood table about the size of a bedside table.

Additional mattresses can be ordered for use with your own bedding. Futon or foam-type mattresses are provided for sleeping on with your own sleeping bag or bedding. Guests should remember to bring a pillow, and note that a blanket underneath can help keep you warm through the night. No more mattresses should be added than the structure’s maximum capacity, or there will not be room for them.
