Event accommodation specialists have been shaping the UK’s boutique camping scene for more than two decades. Their structures, accommodation units and VIP areas have become fixtures at many of the country’s best-known festivals and gatherings. With 25 years of production experience behind them, they remain one of the most established providers of luxury tented accommodation on the events circuit.

Tribal luxury, built for the field

The operation centres on well-organised, spectacular accommodation areas that balance atmosphere with value. As manufacturers of high-quality tipis and yurts, the team combines traditional aesthetics with modern design tweaks so that every structure performs at its best on site.

Current hire stock runs to roughly:

• 220 traditional tipis
• 150 yurts
• 300 modern tipi and yurt tents

A comprehensive range of sizes is available, along with furnishing options and extras such as beds and power.

VIP hospitality areas

The finest furnished structures offer an atmospheric alternative to conventional temporary accommodation, making them particularly well suited to VIP, production and artist areas. Clients can choose Classic or Luxury furnishings, with or without beds and bedding, plus options for power, lighting and heating. Generous discounts are available for in-house crew, artist and guest accommodation.

Ways to work in partnership

There are several models for collaborating with events:

1. Full-service provision. Complete accommodation bookings, on-site management including reception, hospitality services and maintenance. An agreed percentage commission is paid to the event as a revenue stream, which can be offset against site infrastructure.
2. Direct sales. Events sell the accommodation directly to customers and manage their own booking process, with bespoke package options offered at very competitive prices.
3. Third-party partnerships. The team works with other production companies and ticket sellers that manage glamping areas, and maintains strong relationships with third-party sales outlets that upsell accommodation on behalf of events.

Tipi and yurt venues

Giant and extra-large yurts and tipis make excellent event venues. Holding up to 100 people, they offer a funkier and more intimate setting than the average marquee. Whether the need is for workshops, music, children’s activities or staff space, a big tipi or yurt is worth considering. Events often offset the cost of in-house structures against commission received for public tipi and yurt areas.

Reception and maintenance

Each event’s accommodation area is produced to the client’s specific requirements by the production team, ensuring a high standard across the whole site. Customer care is treated as the key to an area’s success. The reception serves as the main point of contact for guests on site, with dedicated support staff on hand to help people settle in and look after them throughout their stay. Reception services can include phone charging, luggage porters, a pamper station, furnishings, decor and a real wood fire where permitted.

Yurt sauna and spa

The team built its own wood-fired yurt sauna and offers it to events as a complete spa package. Finished in striking black canvas with a beautifully carved wooden door, it holds up to 12 people and sits within a private garden area that includes a changing-room tipi, outdoor shower and cold plunge pool. Adding a touch of fun and rejuvenation to any event, the sauna is a great way to stay healthy and clean while enjoying outdoor living.

Tipi yurt cafe

The cafe is housed in a cluster of large tipis that can seat up to 50 people. The aim is to provide a relaxing chill-out space with comfy seating and a colourful ambience. A qualified and experienced catering team sells a range of hot drinks and snacks. With its roaring fire, the tipi cafe can become a social focal point as well as a cosy retreat from the main event.

Ancient Futures at Glastonbury Festival

Ancient Futures was created as part of the Tipi Field at Glastonbury Festival to highlight the relevance of ancient indigenous cultures and their wisdom to our future and that of the planet. The venue is a celebration and inspiration for all who seek a better world, hosting a programme of talks, workshops, poetry and performances. It is housed in a giant 30ft yurt joined to a huge tipi space that together hold more than 150 people.
