Accommodation bookings are now open for guests attending Claire and Pat’s SumNer of Love wedding celebration, with a traditional tipi available for four to five people.
A Traditional Tipi for the Weekend
The medium tipi measures approximately 5.5 metres in diameter and sleeps four to five guests comfortably. A sixth person can be accommodated if some of the group use sleeping bags and roll-out camping mats.
Each tipi is built as a fully functional structure, complete with a canvas door, an external rain hat and an inner liner. Because authentic tipis are designed to hold a fire at their centre, you can opt to add a fire dish — though it is better to limit occupancy to four people if you do, so there is safe space around the flames.
What Comes as Standard
Every tipi is set up for you before arrival and includes:
- A heavy-duty, waterproof groundsheet and carpet flooring
- An entrance mat and waste bin
- An LED lantern
Guests are welcome to bring their own camping equipment if they prefer to travel simply.
Optional Extras
Classic furnishings pack — £96
For those who want more comfort without bringing their own kit, this pack includes handmade decorative rugs, large floor cushions, lanterns, a low rosewood table and a small mirror.
Fire dish — £48
Includes the fire dish itself, a fire extinguisher, firelighters, kindling and one bag of wood to get you started. Extra bags of wood are available at £20 each.
Mattresses
Single and double futon-style foam mattresses can be added to your booking, either on their own or with bedding included. Bedding sets comprise a sheet, a covered duvet, a pillow in a case and a blanket.
Mattress-only prices start at £18 for a single and £30 for a double. With bedding, a single mattress costs £66 and a double £108. Combinations are available up to six singles, or mixes of singles and doubles — though larger configurations are a tight squeeze and work best without furnishings or a fire.
Dates and Location
Accommodation is available for up to four nights at Penny Square Barn, Batcombe. Guests may arrive from 2pm on Thursday 30th July and must depart by midday on Monday 3rd August.
The tipi is priced from £606, with the option to pay a 50% deposit or the full amount at the time of booking.
